After a few days in Guanajuato, we finally found a restaurant that “ticked” all the boxes. We had a late lunch and we were not disappointed on any level. The salad selection and the presentation was had surpassed all others in town. The Poke bowl with shrimp hit the spot and the beef tacos were way ro many for one person. The best part the wine and drink selection that was only our matched by the wait staff. &

The steak was served on a sizzling hot plate and it was perfectly done.Shrimp Gratin was mouth watering! The shrimps were juicy and fresh. Service was excellent, super attentive ... food is great. The chicken breast, baked with Parmesan was not bad. We ordered Tiramisu and another dessert( corn bread with sweet condensed milk)... our opinion, the tiramisu was dry... the other dessert was not great. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things.

Great restaurant! Went there with my wife and son for dinner We all got the degustation menu which is 750MXP, add 750 MXP for wine matching, which I took. Full disclosure it's a 7 course meal. I ll go into the details hereafter, but overall this was a really great experience, everything is well balanced, it s not fancy for being fancy, but for a real purpose: the taste and the experience. I could stop here, but I am taking the time to write a detailed review because I felt like the chef and crew really made a great job, so just trying to match the effort. It may sound like critics sometimes, but it comes with a 5 stars, just trying to be constructive. First course includes stacked toasted tuna, crispy onions over a torta, fancy blue mayonnaise stired fried parsley on top, a spicy sauce below the torta, plus mango and red berries sauces. The balance is great, all the tastes are there. The fruit sauces add a huge value to the overall balance in my opinion. As a French guy, I could have gone without the spicy sauce BUT it does not brake the overall balance, so, being honest, it's perfect. Comes with a red wine, surprising with the tuna, but it is very light and fruity, so that s a very relevant choice after all, at least for me and my wife Second is a veloute (creamy soup) with crispy bacon at the bottom . I don t remember all the flavors, but we all loved it. The crispy bacon has a little smoke flavor which I loved, but my wife a little less. A very tasteful cherry tomato is also at the bottom. Comes with a Sauvignon Blanc if I remember correctly. Good match. Third is a grilled salmon with ground pistachios, a great yellow sauce on the side, and a few raw veggie slices on the side (carrots, cucumbers) on a bed of avocado sauce (not guacamole) and a few beet mayonnaise on the side. Wonderful balance and taste except for the avocado sauce which felt too neutral compared to the rest. Comes with a surprising rose from Napa, a white zinfandel, pretty sweet. Worked well with us. 4th is a passion fruit sorbet to wash your mouth before the meat. Just perfect. I love sorbet, and both the texture and the taste were excellent. 5th is the grilled meat (you can sense it s char broiled) over a bed of risotto al pesto, and mushrooms in a savory sauce on the side. Everything is great, nevertheless, I think less rice would be fine, and we all found that the rice could have less fat (either less oil or cheese). Not a problem with taste, but it felt like too much. Comes with a red Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa again, the strongest of the whole menu, but matches pretty well the meat. 6th is a plate of cheese, with fruits, walnuts, and a surprise! Cheeses are brie and feta. The brie was as perfect as it can be (not my favorite french cheese, but it was perfectly ripe). The feta, I did not understand. It is far too dry and salty compared to the rest of the plate. I found it broke the balance. I think that a spanish manchego or iberico (with sheep milk) would have done a better job there, especially with the roasted apples (compote). The feta felt weird... The surprise was a Roquefort ice cream. Roquefort is a french blue cheese (goat milk), that I am not a fan of. My wife and son love it. We were ALL amazed by that very original proposition. Sweet taste, very creamy, with the Roquefort flavor in the background. Such a great idea... Comes with a Spanish red wine powerful but very balanced. The last is the Gran finale, which is a lemon tart covered with fruits. Warning: this is a typical french pastry and we are VERY demanding on this, as my son studies to become a pastry chef and we love pastries. The lemon curd felt too liquid and a bit bitter (too zesty?). For our taste, the crust could include a little more butter, as the texture was a little sandy. Overall, it remains an very good dessert, don t get me wrong.... It comes with a sweet white Mexican wine which is a blend of 4 different whites. Pretty good, I think it could go pretty well with a foie gras. Digressing here... Again, overall, great experience! No hesitation, go for it

We had lunch here in january as a French group of 5 under the coaching of our guide Raul. This was an excellent choice with very nice surroundings, very good food and an excellent service. Sadly it is a little too far from home ...

Amazing service and outstanding ribeye. The manage also helped us to choose an excellent wine. Will definitely come back.

Dinner at Casa Valadez was excellent! Would love to come back for their breakfast menu! The waiters were extremely attentive and the food was delicious. I had a burger that was cooked to perfection and the fries were extra crispy! Family members had several other dishes including the Salmon dish and Arrachera Tacos. Bacon wrapped chicken breast was slightly dry but still good nonetheless!

Incredible dining experience here. I ordered the tamal colado and was not disappointed at all by the taste, absolutely delicious. Although it was surprisingly small, it was actually the perfect portion along with a drink and dessert. I also tried one of the arrachera tacos and it was amazing, easily competing with the top taquerias of Guanajuato. For drinks I went for the Poncho Le Vert mocktail which I highly recommend for a refreshing option. They also served complementary bread before the meal, with several different types. The real highlight was the dessert. The cheesecake tropical was absurdly delicious, genuinely one of the best desserts I’ve ever had before. This restaurant is worth visiting for that cheesecake alone. I also had a bite of the coulant de dulce de leche and flan which were great, but certainly overshadowed by the cheesecake. Excellent presentation of everything as well. The service was fantastic as well, with staff always nearby for when we finished with our plates and drinks. They also provided approximate times for when things would be ready, mindful for people in a time crunch. The only real downside here is that if you sit by a window, you may be approached by some vendors. Other than that, the atmosphere is great with calm music, respectful guests, and TVs which aren’t too loud. Easy atmosphere for conversations and a chill meal. Overall highly recommended for a higher budget option.

The best restaurant in town, you must visit this place, I recommend the “huevos divorciados” for breakfast, this place exceeded my expectations!
